Our Process

Initial consultation

We begin with an initial 60 minute consultation during which time we get to know each other. We discuss your current financial situation as well as your current financial goals. During this consultation we also provide relevant and useful general advice. Our fee structure and our offer is also discussed. This consultation allows both parties to decide whether the client would benefit from our services.

Engagement

When a decision has been made to proceed, a letter informing the client of engagement in obtaining financial planning services from FutureWise will be sent to the client for signing. This letter outlines particulars of the client/provider relationship such as: indicated fee range, scope of the advice and time frame.

Strategy Discussion

The purpose of the strategy discussion is to get a deeper understanding of our clients needs and objectives prior to drawing up and finalising their financial plan. During this meeting we walk our clients through our proposed plan and inform and educate them on the likely impacts on their situation.

Statement of Advice

When the final financial plan has been completed, we issue our client with a Statement of Advice. This document is to be studied by the client, to ensure the financial plan is in alignment with their goals and the client should note any questions about the plan should before moving on to the implementation meeting.

Implementation Meeting

The client's finalised financial plan is presented in the implementation meeting. This meeting is also an opportunity for FutureWise to answer any questions the client may have about the plan. If the client is satisfied with the plan and agrees to our recommendations they will then sign an Authority to Proceed.

Implementation of Advice

This step is simply involves the process of implementing the strategies recommended in the advice. The client is provided with a checklist of the steps that are necessary. If the advice is of a more complex nature, FutureWise may organise a Post Implementation meeting for the client, to discuss this further.

Ongoing Advice and Service

Just because the implementation of your financial plan is complete, doesn't mean our relationship with you is over. In, fact it is only the beginning. Our ongoing advice begins when the client signs the Authority to Proceed. We are available to you on an ongoing basis, to answer and questions you may have.
